Nepali Meatball (Naked Chicken Momo) Sub

Nepali Meatball (Naked Chicken Momo) Sub

Ingredients:

Himalayan Sunrise Sauce (Mild, Spicy, or HOT)

Bindu Bites' GF Naked Chicken Momos

Sub Sandwich Bread

Assorted Toppings (cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.)

Our flavorful chicken meatballs were made with the Himalayan Sunrise Sauce in mind. In this edition of meatball meals, we’re pairing the two up for a delicious Nepalese remix of an Italian favorite, the meatball sub.

1. Start out by preheating your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.*

2. Place your frozen Naked Chicken Momos on an oven baking sheet, preferably placed on parchment paper to avoid sticking.

3. Cover meatballs with a sheet of aluminum foil, in order to trap the moisture.

4. Bake meatballs for 25-30 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees fahrenheit.

5. While meatballs bake, toast up your sub bread buns in order to give them a nice toasted flavor and texture for the sub sandwich.

6. Sub Sandwich bread buns may be toasted with cheese on them, or cheese can be placed on top of the meatballs when they are finished.

7. Remove aluminum foil from meatballs and place in the oven for 5 more minutes to give them a slight crisp on the outside.

8. Remove from the oven and place meatballs on toasted sub buns.

9. If you didn’t add your cheese to the bread, add the cheese now on top of the freshly cooked meatballs.

10. Garnish your sub with your choice of toppings, we always go for a cabbage slaw!

11. Add your choice of mild, spicy, or hot Himalayan Sunrise Sesame Sauce on top of meatballs (and cheese), and enjoy our Nepalese take on the classic meatball sub!

* Meatballs can also be sauteed in a pan with oil until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees fahrenheit.

* Meatballs can also be steamed until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees fahrenheit.
